PVP Mode Explanatory Notes

PvP Moveset Explanation
Water Gun + Surf and Hyper Fang

Water Gun (3 EPT/3 DPT) provides solid damage and energy gain. Take Down is one of the worst fast moves in the game.

Surf (65 power/40 energy) and Hyper Fang (80 power/50 energy) provide great neutral coverage and good shield pressure. Hyper Beam is way too expensive to be useful.

PvP Rating Explanation
Great League: 2 / 5

Look. Bibarel’s not great. A poor matchup against a number of the top Great League threats does it no favors, and it’s not really that bulky. Being able to beat Bastiodon, Sableye, Alolan Marowak, and Steelix absolutely gives it a niche, but there are probably better options (cough Lanturn cough) that can do most, if not all of that.  That being said beating up someone with a Bibarel feels pretty good.

Ultra League: 0 / 5

Maxing out at 2061 CP, Bibarel can’t match up with the 2500-ish monsters in Ultra League.

Master League: 0 / 5

This is the big leagues, baby. Bibarel just doesn’t cut it.
