Character Introduction
Klefki is a Steel & Fairy Pokémon. It is vulnerable to Ground and Fire moves. Klefki's strongest moveset is Tackle & Play Rough and it has a Max CP of 1,949.
Klefki, known as key collectors, ward off attackers by fiercely jingling their keys in threat, deterring them effectively.
PVP Mode Explanatory Notes
PvP Moveset Explanation
Both fast moves are very bad and lack STAB; Astonish sports average energy gains but poor damage output, while Tackle is the opposite with average damage output but poor energy gains. It should also be noted that the latter can't be Super Effective against any Pokemon.
Foul Play costs the least amount of energy among Klefki's charge moves. Play Rough deals considerable amount of damage with STAB, but has a moderately high energy cost. Draining Kiss has poor damage output for its energy cost, and Flash Cannon demands too much energy to be useful.
PvP Rating Explanation
Klefki's Steel/Fairy typing could give it a niche in PvP, but its movesets are absolutely garbage.
Even with XL Candy, Klefki's stats aren't sufficient enough to reach the CP cap of Ultra League. More importantly, Klefki needs significantly better moves to even have a niche.
Triple resistances against Dragon-type attacks is very appealing in a league that seems more Dragons than any other format, but Klefki is too lackluster overall.
