Character Introduction
Kricketune is a Bug Pokémon which evolves from Kricketot. It is vulnerable to Flying, Rock and Fire moves. Kricketune's strongest moveset is Fury Cutter & Bug Buzz and it has a Max CP of 1,653.
Kricketune expresses its feelings through song; its complex melodies are currently a subject of intense scientific study.
PVP Mode Explanatory Notes
PvP Moveset Explanation
Fury Cutter is generally recommended for its fast energy gains. Struggle Bug offers stronger damage output, but gives up considerable energy gains, and results in less frequent charge move usage.
X-Scissor costs the least amount of energy, gets STAB, and can be spammed very frequently. Aerial Ace provides Flying-type coverage, but lacks STAB and doesn't provide a lot of damage output for its moderate energy cost. Bug Buzz demands the most energy, but is also the most powerful option available.
PvP Rating Explanation
Kricketune is a mono-Bug Pokemon with unimpressive bulk and fast but weak moves. With very fast access to Bug-type charge moves, Kricketune can easily beat most Grass-types in the meta, though it tends to struggle against Dark-types that don't have Counter as their main fast move (Scrafty, Obstagoon). While its Bug-type damage is Super Effective aganist Psychic-types, Kricketune doesn't resist Psychic-type damage, and its unimpressive stats may cause it to loose to considerably bulkier opponents like Hypno or Cresselia. Overall Kricketune isn't particulary impressive against the meta, but might have a niche in specific formats.
Kricketune lacks stats for anything outside of Great League.
Who can squish bugs the fastest with one shield? Rampardos and Shadow Tyranitar ties for first at 16 seconds, while Charmers like Shadow Gardevoir and Togekiss compete quite closely with Shadow Moltres and Shadow Aerodactyl.
